Stephanie Howerter, DO

Dr. Stephanie Howerter joined Complexions Dermatology as a Fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and serves our Greensboro office. She has a clinical focus on patients with skin cancer and Mohs micrographic surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Howerter earned her medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and is a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV. She completed an internship at Lewis Gale Hospital in Blacksburg, VA and a research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. She completed a residency in Dermatology and a fellowship in Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs surgery) at Silver Falls Dermatology in Salem, OR.

As a Board-certified Dermatologist and Board-certified Micrographic Dermatologic Surgeon, Dr. Howerter has published numerous articles on topics spanning from medical dermatology to dermatologic surgery. Her articles have been cited in such journals as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD) Case Reports as well as Dermatologic Surgery, to name a few.
