Lori Wood

Lori is an experienced Physician Assistant at the Complexions Dermatology Colonial Heights location. She received her Bachelor of Science Management/Health Care degree from Park College and both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. As a Physician Assistant, Lori has worked in several areas of medicine, including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Allergy & Asthma, before settling in Dermatology. She previously served 15 years in the Air Force as a Medical Technician working in the Emergency Room, Organ Transplant Ward and Cardiovascular research before obtaining her commission and serving as an officer. She enjoys the variety offered by working in Medical, Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology: removing skin cancer, treating rashes and acne, as well as performing cosmetic procedures like Botox and dermal fillers all in the same day. She is passionate about the preventative side of medicine. She loves the opportunity to educate patients about lifestyle changes and choices they can make to positively impact their skin health and overall well-being. Lori finds it incredibly rewarding to help people feel happier, healthier and more confident, and she strives to get to know her patients and their families on a personal level. Outside of the office, she can be found spending time with her family and pets, exercising, spending time in prayer and reading the Bible, or catching up on her favorite TV shows.
